Excellent (and important!) points: SWOT is too often approached almost as a brainstorming list in a strategy workshop, rather than as a summary of the organisation's assessment of its situation after deep strategic questioning.
SWOT is only a matrix, and it doesn't do any harm or good in itself. The use of it matters. Many thanks for the comment!
