There is a book about 88 strategic tools (https://www.amazon.com/Key-Strategy-Tools/dp/1292328339). I almost never use them, but not because they are totally useless. It seems to me that they lead team astray from the most important things - customers' needs and customers' values. I didn't see the word "customer" in these tools. So, I try to focus on customers. But if a team can concentrate on the customers' needs, any tool works, and SWOT is not an exception
